Introduction

Tylose (or CMC) is a high grade powder used as a hardening agent when working with fondant to create a quick and simple version of gumpaste or modelling paste.

It’s great for making flowers, figurines and edible glue.

Usage Guidelines:

• Fondant: Combine 1 teaspoon of CMC with 250 grams of fondant to form a sturdy modeling paste.
• Edible Glue: Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon of Tylose Powder in 2 tablespoons of warm water. Allow the mixture to rest overnight for optimal consistency.
